I am an experienced clinician with specialized training in areas including sexual abuse, trauma recovery, neurodivergence, and sexual and gender expression and orientation. My approach is person-centered, meaning I work collaboratively with clients as partners in therapy. I have experience supporting gender-expansive (trans/nonbinary) adolescents (14+) and adults, as well as individuals of all ages managing anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and more.
I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based trauma treatment, and offer EMDR Intensives—focused, extended sessions designed for deeper work. I’m passionate about group therapy and co-facilitate a group for parents, caregivers, and allies of transgender individuals.
I’ve volunteered with Mental Health America, training medical professionals on perinatal mental health disorders, and more recently with PFLAG and Gender Infinity, where I contribute as an educator, presenter, and conference planner. I also offer free workshops for parents and caregivers of transgender/nonbinary individuals, including “Navigating the Holidays with Transgender Kids.”
Before transitioning to counseling, I spent 12 years in the financial industry, an experience that broadened my perspective and enriched my clinical skills. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and my master’s in clinical psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. I am licensed as a Professional Counselor in Texas (#65110) and Oregon (#C8521) and am a member of several professional organizations, including WPATH, EMDRIA, and SAIGE.
I provide affirming care for LGBTQ+ adults and families and firmly oppose conversion or reparative therapies, as they are harmful and not supported by scientific evidence.
